A reserved matters application has been submitted for a 15 storey block within the Aylesbury Estate redevelopment. The plot, number 18, is located on Thurlow Street and Inville Road.
The scheme has been drawn up for Notting Hill Housing by Duggan Morris Architects. The current site – in contrast with the high rise linear blocks of much of the Aylesbury – is largely made up of Aylesbury Resource Centre, although does contain low rise blocks of flats.
It is the most central of the Aylesbury sites to be brought forward so far, with the currently completed and under construction parts focused on the edge of the estate.
The scheme also contains a six storey building, as well as a four storey building that will contain a health centre and early years centre. The plot also contains a new library and retail units. In total there will be 122 apartments, 66 of which will be private, 46 for social rent and 10 of intermediate tenures.
