Plans have been lodged by Shepley Estates to convert their eponymous Shepley House on Restmor Way in Hackbridge from offices to residential flats. In total 14 apartments will be created by the conversion if approved.
The new flats will all be studios ranging in size from a tiny 17.5sqm to a more reasonable 31sqm across the ground and first floor of the building. The application has been submitted under the prior approval permitted development scheme, meaning the size of the flats cannot be a factor in Sutton’s decision on the application.
Shepley House is a private road that houses many office and business buildings on the edge of the River Wandle.
