Plans in: Conversion of Car Basement in Flats in Park Royal

Plans have been submitted to convert the basement car storage in Wendover Court on the Western Avenue between Park Royal and North Acton into five apartments and office space.

Indigo Planning is acting both as applicant of record as agent for the scheme, which will see four studio and a single one bed flat constructed in the existing car storage basement, alongside 173 sqm offices. The developer is Sansar Investments Development Limited, who have employed Richard Dines Architect to draw up the plans.

The new units will face away from the Western Avenue, towards the train tracks behind. As the building is on a slope, the basement floor is effectively the ground floor at this side. Wendover Court is an existing deck access apartment block with an art-deco streamline moderne staircase, but otherwise of quite simple design. Millions drive or take the tube past, but few would have taken much notice of the building.
