Plans have been submitted to convert the upper floors of 1416-1418 London Road in Norbury from offices to residential under the permitted development scheme. The plans will see the top two floors of the building, which houses Mirch Masala on the ground floor, and part of the first floor turned into studio flats.
Three of the flats will face onto London Road, and the others will face onto the rear of the building. They’ll range from 16sqm to 19sqm, and contain a small shower room with toilet, as well as a main room with a bed and small kitchenette.
The designs have been put together by Matharu Design and Development, with JLL acting as planning agent. Croydon Council has limited scope to object to the plans, and the size of the proposed flats is not one of the allowed reasons.
