Plans have been lodged by Northill Properties for a four-storey building at 131-133 Lower Clapton Road, currently used for car sales. The new building will contain nine flats, all of private tenure.
The scheme has been drawn up by whiteadamski architects, for a site that has previously attempted to gain permission for a residential development in 2012 but was rejected in part due to design.
The new design matches the height of neighbouring buildings, and utilises brick for the first three floors, followed by a set back top floor of dark ‘rainscreen cladding’. They’ll be three on bed flats, four two bed apartments and a couple of three-bed flats. No retail is proposed despite the building fronting onto a high street.
