Plans in: 4 Storey, 22 Flat Development in Mortlake

The Guinness Partnership have submitted plans to develop land behind three existing blocks of flats in Mortlake, close to the Chiswick Bridge. The plans will see an additional twelve market flats and ten social rented flats created on underused land behind the existing social rented blocks.

The new flats will be created behind the existing blocks, which are located on either side of Williams Road. The designs, by Iconic Architects, feature turquoise light top floors, and a mix of grey and burnt orange lower storeys, in addition to some use of beige render and green living walls.

While the blocks are close together, careful daylight analysis has been done to ensure that shadows from both the existing and new buildings won’t block out the light.

The flats are surrounded by green space, with sports grounds, pitches, parks, cemeteries and even a golf club on their doorstep. Even Kew Gardens is only a 25 minute walk away.
