Plans in: 3 Storey, 5 Flat Scheme in Mitcham

Danube Developments have submitted plans to Merton Council for a five flat development in Mitcham. The designs, drawn up by 1st Architects lse, will see the existing house at 22 Commonside West demolished to make way for the three storey apartment building.

One of the new flats will have a single bedroom, while the rest will have two beds. The design of the scheme involves brick on the lower two floors, as well as a black metallic top floor and use of this material for balconies on the second floor, giving the overall scheme a contemporary design.

The existing house is a two storey interwar building, which is surrounded by other small apartment blocks including one constructed within the last few years. The building overlooks Mitcham Common, giving future residents easy access to the park utilising a set of traffic lights less than twenty metres away.
