Theori Investments have submitted plans to convert the offices on the upper floors of 840-842 High Road Leyton into 11 studio flats. The site lies about half way between Leyton Midland Road station and Walthamstow Central.

The plans, drawn up by Papa Architects, will retain the ground floor of the building as commercial space while converting the upper floors. The applicant is a property lettings and management company which currently occupies the space that will be converted.

Plans in: Five Houses & a Flat in Leyton

It’s not often you see an application for a single flat combined with five houses, and even rarer to see a single flat that is new build rather than a refurbishment. But that’s what is proposed for this site at 139 Francis Road in Leyton.

The proposals, designed by Chassay Studio for Francis Homes, will see the existing backlands site, wedged between Victorian housing, redeveloped from the current builders yard business into a terrace of five three-bed houses, and a single bedroomed flat in a new building above the entrance driveway.
